Colorado Avalanche Claim Goalie Back Off Waivers

The Colorado Avalanche have claimed Jonas Johansson back off waivers from the Arizona Coyotes.

Johansson was claimed off waivers by the Coyotes from the Avalanche earlier this month, but now he is

heading back to Colorado. This isn't surprising at all to see, as the Avalanche originally planned for him to be their third-string netminder. Now, he is set to be just that, as Colorado can freely send him to the AHL from here.

Johansson spent this past season split between the Avalanche and Florida Panthers, where he had a 3-4-1 record, .852 SV%, and 4.81 GAA. Let's see what he can do for the Avalanche for the 2022-23 season.
