Colorado Avalanche Place Forward on Waivers

The Colorado Avalanche have placed Jayson Megna on waivers.

Mega was occasionally called up to the Avalanche last season, where he played in 20 games with the NHL squad. During them, he recorded three assists and had a minus-2 rating. The Florida native was solid for the Colorado Eagles, however, as he had 13 goals to go along with 33 points in 38 points. With production like this, the Eagles will be hoping that he clears waivers.

With teams around the league putting the final touches to their opening night rosters right now, it seems likely that Megna will clear waivers from here. In 148 career NHL games, the 32-year-old has 10 goals, 15 assists, and 25 points.
