Columbus Blue Jackets Release Forward from PTO
Victor Rask's time with the Columbus Blue Jackets is over, as the 29-year-old has been released from his PTO.
Rask inked a PTO with Columbus shortly before the start of training camp. Given the Blue Jackets' forward depth, Rask had a good amount working against him to earn himself a contract. Unfortunately, he did not impress the organization enough, and now he will be looking for an opportunity elsewhere from here.
Rask's 2021-22 season saw him split time between the NHL and AHL. In the sport's most competitive league, he had nine goals and 21 points in 47 games with the Minnesota Wild and Seattle Kraken. That is not too bad of production, and it will be intriguing to see if another NHL team gives him a look because of it.
