Dallas Stars Place 3 Players on Waivers
The Dallas Stars have placed Riley Tufte, Marian Studenic, and Alexander Petrovic on waivers.
Out of the bunch, Tufte is the most notable. The 6-foot-6 winger was selected 25th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, but he has still not been able to cement himself a permanent spot on Dallas' roster. This trend is now continuing in 2022-23. In 10 games last season with the Stars, he had a goal and even rating.
Studenic was picked up off waivers by the Stars last season, and now he is heading right back there. The 23-year-old played in 33 games split between the New Jersey Devils and Stars last season, where he had three goals and three assists.
As for Petrovic, he has not made an appearance in the NHL since the 2018-19 season when he was a member of the Edmonton Oilers. In 71 games with the Texas Stars last year, he had five goals and 19 points.
