Devils Make Roster Moves
The New Jersey Devils have placed Ondrej Palat on injured reserve, retroactive to Oct. 24. With this move, they also have called up Andreas Johnsson to their NHL roster.
Due to Palat's IR placement being retroactive to the 24th, he technically is eligible to return on Monday. However, the Devils announced that Palat is still meeting with doctors over his lower-body injury, so it's rather unlikely that we will see him return immediately. The Devils' biggest offseason addition this summer, Palat has three goals in six games.
Johnsson will be aiming to impress during his call-up in hopes of earning himself a permanent spot on the Devils' NHL roster again. In 71 games last season with New Jersey, Johnsson scored 13 goals and recorded 35 points. Let's see what he can do with Jersey from here.
