Edmonton Oilers Place Forward on Waivers

The Edmonton Oilers have placed Seth Griffith on waivers.

Griffith suited up in one game for the Oilers last season, and it was his first time in the NHL since the 2017-18 season. Therefore, seeing the 29-year-old being placed on waivers for the purpose of being sent down to the AHL is not surprising. Yet, although this is the case, it wouldn't be too out of the question to see another club claim him if they are dealing with injury trouble and need forward depth.

Griffith just had a truly dominating season with the Bakersfield Condors, as he scored 30 goals and had 80 points in just 64 games. He certainly can make noise in the AHL, so let's see if that is enough for another team to take a chance on him from here.
