Edmonton Oilers Place Forward on Waivers

The Edmonton Oilers have placed Greg McKegg on waivers.

McKegg was signed by the Oilers this offseason to be one of their depth forwards. The 30-year-old spent this past season with the New York Rangers, where he had two goals to go along with five points. Overall, he is a good call-up candidate to have due to his plenty of experience both in the AHL and NHL.

Teams could look at claiming McKegg off waivers if they are in need of some more forward depth at the start of the season. In 233 career NHL games, the St. Thomas native has scored 21 goals and recorded 39 points.
