Edmonton Oilers Sign Prospect
The Edmonton Oilers have signed Max Wanner to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Oilers selected Wanner with the 212th pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Now, one year later, the seventh-round pick has earned himself his ELC. That is excellent news, and he will now be aiming to put together a strong season in the WHL from here.
Wanner had a good 2021-22 campaign for the Moose Jaw Warriors, as he scored six goals and recorded 23 points in 55 games. Overall, this was solid production from the 6-foot-3 defenseman, and it will be intriguing to see what he does for an encore in 2022-23.
