Florida Panthers Sign Forward
The Florida Panthers have signed Kai Schwindt to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Schwindt signed a PTO with the Panthers before training camp as an undrafted prospect. Clearly, the 18-year-old winger impressed Florida in the process, as evidenced by him earning this ELC.
Schwindt just spent this past season with the Mississauga Steelheads, where he had 12 goals and 17 points in 68 games. He will be aiming to develop his offensive game more this season in the OHL from here. At 6-foot-4, he has the size to potentially develop into a full-time NHL player. Thus, at the end of the day, there's no harm in the Panthers giving him this ELC.
