8-Year NHL Veteran Signs Overseas
Victor Rask's search for a new home has come to a close, as the 29-year-old center has inked a one-year deal with HC Fribourg-Gotteron of the National League.
Rask signed a PTO with the Columbus Blue Jackets before training camp, but that, unfortunately, did not result in a contract for him. Yet, he is now heading to Switzerland and should receive plenty of playing time.
Rask spent this past season between the Minnesota Wild and Seattle Kraken, scoring nine goals and recording 21 points in 47 games. If he has a big year in the NL, perhaps it could be enough for him to ink another contract with an NHL team next season. Alas, we will have to wait and see what happens on that front from here.
