Injury Update on Senators Goaltender
The Ottawa Senators acquired him over the offseason.
Cam Talbot has yet to make his 2022-23 season debut due to his injury.
However, the thirty-five-year-old goaltender was seen skating Thursday.
Cam Talbot is on the ice. Not sure if it’s his first day but it’s a step in the right direction. #Sens

Talbot suffered a rib injury in late September, and it's kept him out since. He was given a 5-7 week timeframe for his return, so it would seem he's not too far away from returning.
This is a good first step for the goaltender who was dealt in the offseason from the Minnesota Wild to take over as the starting goalie in Ottawa. The Senators sent back goaltender Filip Gustavsson in the deal.
Talbot led the Wild and ranked 10th among NHL goaltenders in victories with 32 over 49 regular season games in 2021-22.
Over his 10-year career, Talbot has registered a solid .915 save percentage and a 2.63 GAA across 396 games.
With the move to Ottawa, Talbot certainly gets a lot closer to home as the veteran netminder is from Caledonia, Ontario, a brief six-hour drive compared to the 18 hours when he was in Minnesota.
