Maple Leafs Making Roster Move Following Latest Injury
The Toronto Maple Leafs are expected to recall forward Nick Robertson from the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies. Robertson had himself a great preseason and was only sent down to the AHL because the Maple Leafs were in a roster jam and Robertson didn't need to go through waivers to be demoted.
Some rumblings tonight that, with some flexibility due to Matt Murray’s injury, TOR will recall Nick Robertson. Had a great camp.

The one-time top prospect for Toronto, Robertson showed off his strong work ethic, his speed, world-class shot and it looks like he finally got stronger this past summer. Robertson has a great opportunity to play on the team's second line with John Tavares and William Nylander.
The 21-year-old Robertson was a second-round pick at the 2019 NHL entry draft. He's only played 16 NHL regular season games since, recording one goal and one assist. If he gets regular minutes this season, look for Robertson to have a breakout season.
