Minnesota Wild Goalie Placed on Waivers

The Minnesota Wild have placed Zane McIntyre on waivers.

This is anything but a surprise, as the Wild are heading into the new season with a tandem of Marc-Andre Fleury and Filip Gustavsson. McIntyre was not expected to take a backup role away from Gustavsson, so as a result, he will be heading to the AHL if he clears waivers. 

Yet, it is also important to note that the Iowa Wild will certainly be happy to have McIntyre back if he clears. The 30-year-old was excellent for them this past season, as he had a 19-14-1 record, 2.45 GAA, and .920 SV%.
