Minnesota Wild Place Forward on Waivers
The Minnesota Wild have placed Steven Fogarty on waivers.
This isn't a particularly surprising development, as Fogarty has only played in 29 career NHL games over the last five seasons. This past campaign, he played in two contests for the Boston Bruins, where he was held off the scoresheet. Overall, he primarily serves as a veteran forward at the AHL level, and there's no issue with that. Teams always need depth.
With the Providence Bruins last season, Fogarty was simply solid, as he had 12 goals and 42 points in 62 games. Assuming he clears waivers, he should be a strong contributor to the Iowa Wild's offense in 2022-23.
