Montreal Canadiens Forward's Career in Jeopardy
According to Marc Antoine Godin of The Athletic, Montreal Canadiens forward Paul Byron is still having issues with his left hip, and he has yet to skate because of it. With that, Godin noted that Byron's hip issues are "starting to cloud" his playing future.
This is certainly awful news to hear. Byron had surgery on this hip recently and, unfortunately, suffered a setback while preparing for this season. GM Kent Hughes also told Godin that the 33-year-old will be heading to LTIR if his hip continues not to improve.
Byron only played in 27 games for the Canadiens last season, where he had four goals to go along with three assists. We here at NHLTR truly hope that the hard-working winger can have a speedy recovery from here and return to the Canadiens in the future.
