Montreal Canadiens Place 3 Players on Waivers

The Montreal Canadiens have placed Mitchell Stephens, Alex Belzile, and Anthony Richard on waivers.

Stephens spent this past season with the Detroit Red Wings, where he played in 27 games and recorded six assists. The 25-year-old was aiming to make the team as a bottom-six forward, but, unfortunately, he did not make the cut.

Belzile failed to record a point in 11 games with the Canadiens last season. With the Laval Rocket of the AHL, he scored 10 goals and added 12 assists in 32 games.

Richard spent the entirety of this past season in the AHL, splitting time between the Milwaukee Admirals and Syracuse Crunch. In 71 games, he scored 17 goals and recorded 38 points.
