Montreal Canadiens Place Forward on Waivers
The Montreal Canadiens have made a cut to their training camp roster, as Nate Schnarr has been placed on waivers.
Schnarr was hoping to make the Canadiens' NHL roster, but alas, that just did not happen. Instead, the 23-year-old will be heading back to the Laval Rocket if he clears waivers.
Schnarr split this past season between the Utica Comets and Rocket, and overall, it was a pretty good year for him. In 63 games, the 6-foot-3 forward scored 17 goals and recorded 36 points. Perhaps this kind of season in the AHL mixed with his young age could be enough for him to get claimed. Nevertheless, we will need to wait and see what happens on that front from here.
