Montreal Canadiens Sign Prospect
The Montreal Canadiens have signed Owen Beck to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Beck was selected by the Canadiens with the 33rd pick of this year's entry draft, and it's a move that already is looking like a good one for Montreal. He has been quite noticeable during training camp, and that's a notable reason why the Canadiens have decided to give him his ELC now.
Even with this contract signed, Beck will heading back to another year of junior from here. The 18-year-old forward is coming off of a strong 2021-22 season where he had 51 points in 68 games with the Mississauga Steelheads. Expect that total to jump up this campaign, as this is a prospect on the rise.
