Montreal Canadiens Sign Prospect

The Montreal Canadiens have signed another one of their prospects, as William Trudeau has inked his three-year, entry-level contract with the team. 

Trudeau was selected with the 113th overall pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, and it's a selection that has the potential to pay off quite well for the Canadiens. He has been showing signs of progression and just had the best season of this junior career with the Charlottetown Islanders. In 68 games, the the 6-foot defenseman scored eight goals and recorded 44 points. Not bad production at all from the blueline. 

With this ELC signed, Trudeau is set to join the Laval Rocket and play in his first professional season. It will be intriguing to see how he performs from here with the AHL squad.
