New York Rangers Forward Leaves Game With Injury
The New York Rangers may have defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning by a 3-1 final score during their season opener, but it did come with a price. Vitali Kravtsov left the game early with an upper-body injury early in the first period.
Kravtsov is heading into this season with a notable role with the team, as he is playing on a line with Artemi Panarin and Vincent Trocheck. Therefore, the Blueshirts are giving the 2018 first-round pick a big chance to succeed, but this upper-body injury may, unfortunately, put everything on pause.
Kravtsov has only played in 21 games with the Rangers since being drafted 9th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, where he has scored two goals and recorded four points. He spent this past season with Chelyabinsk Traktor and had 13 points in 19 games with the KHL squad.
