New York Rangers Place 2 Players on Waivers

The New York Rangers have placed Julien Gauthier and Jarred Tinordi on waivers.

Gauthier's name was in the rumor mill all offseason, but a trade has yet to be finalized. The 24-year-old appeared in 49 games last season for the Blueshirts, where he had three goals and seven points. Perhaps a team could take a chance on him and claim him because he is a former first-rounder, but if not, he will be heading to the Hartford Wolf Pack to start the year.

Tinordi, on the other hand, played in seven games for the Rangers last season, where he had a goal and a minus-5 rating. The 6-foot-6 defenseman could get some attention because of his toughness, but if not, we will be seeing him in Hartford as well.
