NHL Insider Predicts 2023 Stanley Cup Champions

In his recent piece for Daily Faceoff, Frank Seravalli made a bold prediction and said that the Carolina Hurricanes will be this year's Stanley Cup champions.

I mean, this isn't too outrageous of a prediction. The Hurricanes have been one of the top teams in the league for a handful of seasons now and are viewed as legitimate contenders. They also made some strong additions to their group this season by adding Brent Burns, Max Pacioretty, Paul Stastny, and Ondrej Kase. Seravalli defined them as the "most balanced and consistent team in hockey." Again, not too crazy of a statement.

Seravalli also said that he believes that the Hurricanes will defeat the Calgary Flames in the Stanley Cup Final. Boy, would that be a fun matchup to see come to fruition. Let's see if Seravalli's prediction comes true, as there are a number of great teams like the Hurricanes in the league.
