NHL Insider Predicts First Coach Firing of 2022-23 Season
Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff published a very entertaining bold predictions piece and in it, he made a, well, bold prediction that said which coach will be fired first in 2022-23. Surprisingly, he believes Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau will be the guy.
Seravalli noted that "the friction" caused by extension negotiations between Boudreau and the Canucks could be what makes this come to fruition. With that, he said that the Canucks could be in for a slow start because their "stars haven't impressed in the preseason."
With this being a bold prediction made by Seravalli, it should not be taken as fact. Yet, it is a fun little prediction. Boudreau has worked quite well with the Canucks since joining them, but could the friction he had with the team lead to his early dismissal if the Canucks start the year poorly? Alas, time will tell.
