NHL Rumors: Blackhawks Forward to be Traded
It isn't a secret that the Chicago Blackhawks are in a full-on rebuild. This is a trend that is not going to come to an end any time soon, so we should expect to see several more trades made by them this season. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are already dominating the rumor mill because of it, but there's another Chicago forward who we should also pay attention to - Max Domi.
Domi surprised the hockey world when he inked a one-year pact with the Blackhawks this offseason. The 27-year-old spent the 2021-22 season split between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Carolina Hurricanes, where he had 11 goals to go along with 28 assists in 72 games. Overall, he should have no trouble replicating those totals this season, and that's especially true when noting that he will have a bigger role with the rebuilding Blackhawks. Thus, it could heighten his trade value if he heats up by the deadline.
Just like last season, expect a Domi trade by the deadline. He's a serviceable middle-six forward when playing at his best, and playoff teams always love to have those.
