NHL Rumors: Buffalo Sabres Making Trade Calls
The Buffalo Sabres are off to a solid start to the 2022-23 season. The team appears to be ahead of it's learning curve to start the new campaign and the Sabres have become a team to watch on the trade market.
Hockey insider Elliotte Friedman recently reported via his 32 Thoughts blog, Sabres management could be in the market for some help on defense:
Surging Buffalo has a problem on defence. Mattias Samuelsson is out (although thankfully it’s not as bad as it initially looked). Henri Jokiharju is out. I could see GM Kevyn Adams examining what’s out there. You know when your team deserves help, and the Sabres sure are showing it.
Some options include Jakob Chychrun and Shayne Gostisbehere from the Arizona Coyotes, Sean Walker of the Los Angeles Kings, Ethan Bear of the Carolina Hurricanes and Dmitry Kulikov of the Anaheim Ducks. Keep an eye on the Sabres, if they continue to win hockey games and stay within the playoff picture, Adams and company won't be shy to make moves and upgrade their roster this season.
