NHL Rumors: Canucks Linked to Ducks Defenseman

According to Darren Dreger, Anaheim Ducks defenseman John Klingberg could be a trade option for the Vancouver Canucks.

A Klingberg trade is expected to occur by the deadline, and this is especially true if Anaheim ends up near the bottom of the standings this campaign. The Canucks, on the other hand, have playoff aspirations. Yet, they have been off to a putrid start in 2022-23, as they have a 0-3-2 record. With that, they blew leads in every single contest. Thus, defense is a position they NEED to improve, so perhaps they could make a push for Klingberg early on in the season.

Vancouver's right side definitely leaves more to be desired as well. Adding Klingberg would give them another top-four, offensive defenseman, so let's see if these Pacific Division rivals strike a deal at some point this campaign.
