NHL Rumors: Coyotes Defenseman Garnering Trade Interest
The Arizona Coyotes are still in a full-on rebuild, so naturally, they are set to make more trades. Jakob Chychrun has of course been the biggest name in the rumor mill, but another Coyotes defenseman is also starting to garner interest - Shayne Gostisbehere.
Gostisbehere revitalized his career after being traded to the Coyotes last offseason by the Philadelphia Flyers. In 82 games with the Coyotes, he had 14 goals and 51 points. He isn't showing signs of slowing down this season, either, as he already has five points in just three games played. Naturally, this play has gotten attention around the league.
"Ghost Bear" is in the final season of his contract and carries a $4.5 million cap hit. That is a reasonable salary given how well he has done in Arizona, so teams in need of some offense from the point will be calling Arizona plenty. Let's see if a move comes to fruition shortly.
