NHL Rumors: Jakob Chychrun Open to Trade to Specific Team
According to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic, Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun was not interested in being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets earlier this summer because he believed that they were not a potential playoff team. Yet, after a big summer by Columbus, Chychrun is now reportedly willing to play there.

1. And then Johnny Hockey happened. Arizona’s Jakob Chychrun has changed his tune toward #CBJ

It has already been confirmed that the Blue Jackets are once again in the Chychrun sweepstakes, and now it is clear that the feeling is mutual from the 24-year-old defenseman. It makes sense that Chychrun is willing to play for Columbus, as they are a team on the rise after signing Johnny Gaudreau and having a strong prospect pool.
It will be intriguing to see if the Coyotes and Blue Jackets can agree to a trade from here. Adding Chychrun to their blue line would certainly put them in the conversation for being a potential Wild Card team in the Eastern Conference this year.
