NHL Rumors: Penguins Linked to Blackhawks Superstar
According to Craig Button, the Pittsburgh Penguins should target Patrick Kane if he is officially made available by the Chicago Blackhawks.
For this trade to work out, the Blackhawks would need to retain half of Kane's salary, and Pittsburgh would need to send at least one roster player along the way. With that, Kane of course would have to accept a trade to Pittsburgh, as he carries a full no-movement. However, would Kane REALLY be against playing with fellow future Hall of Famers Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang? Highly doubtful.
The Penguins are looking to win at least one more Stanley Cup with their legendary core, and Kane has the firepower that could make that possibly come to fruition. Let's see if GM Ron Hextall makes a push for the superstar from here.
