Ottawa Senators Hit with Massive Injury Blow
The Ottawa Senators were dealt some terrible news on Wednesday as the team announced first-line center Josh Norris has a shoulder injury that's likely going to keep him out for the season.
Head coach DJ Smith confirmed Norris' injury to the media and at this time it's unknown whether he'll require surgery or go the rehab route to get fixed. If surgery ends up being the play, Norris will miss the entire season. At this point if rehab is decided, it will take at least 3-4 months to recover.
Norris is a core piece for the Sens and someone who was supposed to be in line for a huge season in 2022-23. Major blow for #sens: Josh Norris is going to miss months. https://t.co/L9YbVB5gmr

The 23-year-old Norris appeared in five games this season, recording two points. He's signed through the 2029-30 season at $7.95 million per season.
