Ottawa Senators Sign Veteran Forward
Derick Brassard has clearly impressed the Ottawa Senators during his PTO, as the club has now inked him to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
With this signing, the reunion between Brassard and the Senators is official. The 35-year-old center spent the 2016-17 season and part of the 2017-18 campaign with the club, where he had 77 points in 139 total games. Since then, he has played for seven other teams and earned the title of "journeyman." Yet, he is now once again a Senator and will be aiming to be a solid secondary scorer for them.
Brassard played in 46 games split between the Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers last year, where he had eight goals and 19 points. Let's see how he does during his second stint with the Senators from here.
