Philadelphia Flyers Forward Placed on Unconditional Waivers
The Philadelphia Flyers have placed Linus Sandin on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination.
Sandin was placed on regular waivers during training camp and then sent down to the AHL following it. Now, Sandin's time with the Flyers organization as a whole is coming to a close. Assuming no team puts a claim on him, he will become a UFA and very likely will be heading overseas to continue his professional career.
Sandin played one game for the Flyers last season, where he failed to get on the scoresheet. He also recorded 20 points in 36 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL last year. It will be intriguing to see what Sandin's next move is, but don't be surprised to see him return to Sweden from here.
