Rangers Call Up Winger
The New York Rangers have called up Julien Gauthier to their NHL roster.
It makes sense that the Rangers have decided to bring up Gauthier, as they are dealing with a handful of forward injuries. Therefore, calling up Gauthier for depth makes sense, and it will be intriguing to see if the 2016 first-round pick can get into any action from here.
Last season, Gauthier appeared in 49 games with the Blueshirts, scoring three goals and recording seven points. If he does well during this call-up, it could help get the attention of other teams around the league. Keep in mind, he did request a trade during the offseason. Let's see if performing well during this call-up helps him find a new home in the near future.
