Rangers Forward Hits the Waiver Wire
The New York Rangers have placed Dryden Hunt on waivers.
Hunt has played in three games for the Rangers this season, where he has an assist and a minus-1 rating. Yet, the 26-year-old is now hitting the waiver wire, and he certainly could get some interest around the league. He carries a very affordable $762,500 cap hit and is capable of being a decent bottom-six forward.
Hunt was a mainstay in the Rangers' lineup last season, as he had six goals and 17 points in 76 games. With that, he had a whopping 153 hits, so he certainly was active in the physical side of the game. Perhaps this kind of season will lead another club to take a chance on him from here. It doesn't hurt that he can play all three forward positions, either.
