Sabres Defenseman Dealing With Injury

Buffalo Sabres defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin is dealing with a foot injury after blocking a shot in Tuesday's game against the Edmonton Oilers. Thankfully, however, he is currently deemed as being day-to-day.

Lyubushkin was one of the Sabres' offseason additions, and he already is making an impact with the club. In three games on the year, he has an assist to go along with a plus-1 rating. Yet, he has been quite noticeable when it comes to his solid defensive play and physicality, which his nine hits show well. 

The Sabres will now be hoping that Lyubushkin does not suffer any setbacks as he recovers from his injury. He has the potential to be a very solid player for them moving forward, and the Sabres certainly need him to keep their solid start going.
