Sabres Make Roster Moves
After leaving Saturday's game early with an injury, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Mattias Samuelsson has been placed on IR. As a result, the Sabres have called up Kale Clague to the NHL squad.
Samuelsson's IR placement means that he will be out for a minimum of one week. However, at the time of this writing, a specific timeline has not been announced by the team. All we know is that Samuelsson is dealing with a lower-body injury of some kind. In five games this season, the 22-year-old has zero points but also a plus-6 rating.
Clague, on the other hand, is set to make his debut with the Sabres. The 24-year-old split last season between the Los Angeles Kings and Montreal Canadiens, scoring two goals and recording 10 points in 36 contests.
