Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin Makes NHL History
Rasmus Dahlin has had such a hot start to the 2022-23 season, that he has made NHL history. With his goal against the Calgary Flames on Thursday night, the 2018 first-overall pick set a record with the longest season-opening goal streak (four goals in four games) by a defenseman in NHL history.

This is simply excellent stuff to see from Dahlin. After setting new career highs with 13 goals, 40 assists, and 53 points last season with the Sabres, he is clearly building off that momentum quite nicely in 2022-23. With his goal and assist against the Flames, he now has four goals and six points already during this young season.
Now that Dahlin has made NHL history, it will be intriguing to see what's next in store for him. Clearly the Sabres are benefitting from his hot play, as they have a surprising 3-1-0 record to start the year.
