San Jose Sharks Place Defenseman on Waivers

The San Jose Sharks have placed Scott Harrington on waivers.

Harrington has played in one game for the Sharks this season, where he did not record a point and sported an even rating. The 29-year-old made the team after signing a PTO with them before training camp began. Although he successfully made their NHL roster, he is now on the waiver wire and will be heading to the San Jose Barracuda if he goes unclaimed.

Teams in need of some defensive depth could consider bringing in Harrington. He comes with a decent amount of experience and can be utilized well as an extra defenseman. In 211 career NHL games over nine seasons, he has seven goals, 31 assists, and 38 points.
