Senators Call Up Goalie

The Ottawa Senators have called up Kevin Mandolese from the AHL. This news comes after netminder Anton Forsberg did not participate in Monday's morning skate with the team.

An update on Forsberg's potential injury has not been announced, but given the fact that a call-up has been made, it is clear that he will not be available for Monday's game against the Dallas Stars. As a result of this, we could see Magnus Hellberg make his first start as a Senator. 

Yet, to focus on Mandolese, he was selected in the sixth round by the Senators back in 2018. In 17 games with the Belleville Senators last season, he had a 9-5-0 record and .901 SV%. Perhaps we will see him get into some action with the NHL squad from here, but boy, injuries are starting to hit the Senators bad.
