St. Louis Blues Place 3 Players on Waivers
The St. Louis Blues have placed Steven Santini, Luke Witkowski, and Nathan Todd on waivers.
Santini appeared in three games for the Blues last season, where he had an assist and 12 hits. The 6-foot-2 defenseman plays a heavy game, and that could be enough for a team to claim him off waivers. This is especially true if they are dealing with injury trouble on the backend. With that, he does have 119 games of NHL experience on his resume.
Witkowski played in one game at the NHL level last season with the Detroit Red Wings. The 32-year-old is known for his versatility, as he can play both the wing and defense. An old-fashioned, rugged player, Witkowski has 162 penalty minutes and 292 hits in 132 career NHL games.
As for Todd, he just put together a 23-point campaign in 49 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds last season.
