Stars Forward Sent Down to AHL

The Dallas Stars have sent down Matej Blumel to the AHL.

Blumel was called up by the Stars just last week, but, unfortunately, he is now heading right back to the Texas Stars from here. The 22-year-old did not get into any game action for Dallas during his call-up, so he will be hoping to make his debut later down the road. However, now that he is heading back to their AHL affiliate, he will once again be viewed as a notable part of their offense.

Blumel has been truly spectacular at the AHL level so far this season, scoring five goals and recording eight points in just five games. We will have to wait and see if he can continue this excellent pace from here with them. If so, don't be surprised to see Dallas call him up again in the near future.
