Stars Make Roster Moves
The Dallas Stars have made some changes to their roster. Jacob Peterson has been sent down to the AHL, while Matej Blumel has been called up to the NHL squad.
Peterson has primarily been scratched so far this season, so this demotion isn't too surprising. In his lone game with Dallas this season, he failed to record a point and sported a minus-2 rating. However, he is also coming off of a rookie season that saw him score 12 goals and record 17 points in 65 games. Therefore, when injuries inevitably arise for the Stars, expect to see him be a call-up option.
Blumel, on the other hand, is starting to make a real name for himself in the Stars' system. The 22-year-old winger is just beginning his North American career after spending the last three seasons in Czechia. Yet, he's been on fire with the Texas Stars, as he has five goals and eight points in five games. An excellent start for the winger, let's see if he can bring this offense to the NHL from here.
