Stars Sign Goaltender
The Dallas Stars have signed Matt Murray to a one-year, entry-level contract.
We expect this may confuse people that haven't been following us 😅

"Wait, doesn't Matt Murray play for the Toronto Maple Leafs?" He does! However, the Stars have signed a different goaltender who just so happens to have the same name.
Murray just completed his five-year collegiate career year with UMass-Amherst and joined the Stars' AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars, last season. In six games with them last season, he had a 5-1-0 record fd .947 SV%. It was a great start to his professional career, and he hasn't showed signs of slowing down this campaign, either. In five appearances with Texas on the year, he has a 2-2-0 record but also a strong .926 SV%.
This Murray signing is due to Jake Oettinger being injured and the Stars not having the cap space to brign Anton Khudobin. Now, Murray will be aiming to take advantage of this grand opportunity and hope to get into some starts while Oettinger is sidelined.
