Tampa Bay Lightning Place 4 Players on Waivers
The Tampa Bay Lightning have made four cuts to their training camp roster. Daniel Walcott, Trevor Carrick, Darren Raddysh, and Maxime Legace have all been placed on waivers.
Walcott appeared in his first NHL game last season, where he got into a fight but did not record a point. Assuming the 6-foot-1 forward clears waivers, he will be a potential call-up candidate for Tampa Bay when injuries arise.
Carrick has seven career NHL games under his belt and has not appeared in the sport's most competitive league since the 2019-20 season. At the AHL level, he provides decent offense from the point, as his 30 points in 61 games with the San Jose Barracuda last season shows well.
Raddysh could be a player that teams consider picking up. The 26-year-old played in his first four NHL games last season, where he had a plus-1 rating. His size and physicality could make him a potential bottom-pairing defenseman on a rebuilding club.
Legace is an AHL netminder who has gotten occasional call-ups throughout his career. In 20 career NHL contests, he has an 8-9-1 record, 3.90 GAA, and .870 SV%.
