Vancouver Canucks Call Up Forward
After clearing waivers earlier this week, Sheldon Dries has now been called right back up to the Vancouver Canucks.
Dries played in 11 games for the Canucks this past season, where he had two goals and an assist. He primarily played in the AHL with the Abbotsford Canucks, however, and it was a year to remember for the 28-year-old. In 54 games, he had an excellent 35 goals and 62 points. Now, he will be aiming to bring a little bit of that offensive firepower to the NHL squad from here.
Dries has the potential to be a decent depth forward for the Canucks this season, and this call-up is the first step of that coming to fruition. Let's see what he can do from here with this opportunity.
