Vancouver Canucks Considering Major Changes
The Vancouver Canucks have started the 2022-23 season as the only team who has yet to win a hockey game. They've blown several multi-goal leads and the noise is starting to pick up surrounding the team's roster.
General manager Patrik Allvin wasn't shy with his recent comments as the Canucks GM called out the team's top players to show up and buy into the program:
I think we're a talented team, but we need to get this team and this group to play together. I think we need to (get) our top players to buy in and be our top players every single day you walk into the rink. And I think that's the difference right now. I never anticipated that (winless start), This is a challenge for us facing adversity right away, but they're working hard and I do think we have a lot of good players. I have faith in the core and we were the sixth-youngest team in the league on opening night. (The team) has a lot to learn
Allvin admitted it's his job to make the team better and at this point the only two untouchables are Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson. Sounds like Conor Garland and Tyler Myers are two players to watch as the trade chatter is picking up in a major way in Vancouver.
