Vancouver Canucks Place 3 Players on Injured Reserve
While speaking with the media, Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin announced that Ilya Mikheyev, Tyler Myers, and Travis Dermott are starting the year on injured reserve.
Mikheyev's current status is week-to-week, as he is still dealing with a lower-body injury. One of the Canucks' notable offseason additions, the 28-year-old scored 21 goals and recorded 32 points in 53 contests with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
Myers is dealing with a lower-body injury of his own and is expected to miss at least the next two and a half weeks. The Canucks would certainly rather have him in the lineup than not given his importance to their blueline. In 82 games last season, he had a goal and 18 points.
Dermott is dealing with a concussion. In 60 games last season split between the Leafs and Canucks, he had two goals and nine points.
