Vegas Golden Knights Name Starting Goalie

The Vegas Golden Knights will be starting Logan Thompson for opening night's game against the Los Angeles Kings.

Earlier this month, head coach Bruce Cassidy noted that Thompson was making a case for himself to be the club's number-one goalie this season, and now it appears that this has in fact come to fruition. A third-string netminer behind Robin Lehner and Laurent Brossoit just last season, Thompson now has the large task of helping Vegas get back into the playoffs this year.

Adin Hill and Michael Hutchinson will be behind Thompson as insurance. In 19 games last season for Vegas, Thompson had a 10-5-3 record, 2.68 GAA, and .914 SV%.
