Wild Defenseman Placed on Waivers
The Minnesota Wild have placed Andrej Sustr on waivers.
Sustr is no stranger to the waiver wire, as he hit it last season while with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He would be claimed by the Anaheim Ducks following his placement, so it does not seem out of the question that the 6-foot-7 defenseman could find a new home through this trip to the wire, too.
Although Sustr was on the Wild's NHL roster, he has not made an appearance for the team this season. In 37 games last year, he had a goal to go along with five assists. Teams in need of some defensive depth could consider adding him to their roster. We will have to wait and see what comes to fruition on that front from here.
