Wild Forward Leaves Game Early With Injury
Jordan Greenway made his season debut on Thursday night against the Vancouver Canucks, but, unfortunately, it was short-lived. The 25-year-old winger left the contest early with an upper-body injury.
This is concerning news but especially when noting that Greenway had shoulder surgeries during the offseason. At the time of this writing, the specifics of his injury and an estimated recovery time have not been announced. Hopefully, it's nothing major but rather a precautionary decision by the player and team.
Greenway is an important part of the Wild's roster, as he provides strong physical play and solid secondary scoring. In 62 games last season, the 6-foot-6 forward had 27 points to go along with a whopping 155 hits. Here's to hoping that he does not have to miss much time, as the Wild are already off to a rather bad start in 2022-23.
